This 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is one of 300 Last Call Black Ghost examples built in tribute to the 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T SE that was owned by Godfrey Qualls, who participated in street races on Woodward Avenue in the 1970s where his car earned the moniker “Black Ghost.” All Last Call Black Ghost examples were finished in Pitch Black over a Black leather and Alcantara interior. Power is provided by a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Features include the Technology and Driver Convenience groups as well as the Plus Package, an SRT-tuned Bilstein suspension, 20â?³ Warp-Speed wheels, HID Air-Catcher headlamps, widebody fenders, a Harman Kardon sound system, and heated and ventilated front seats. The seller’s father purchased the car new, and it now has 45 miles. This Black Ghost is now offered by the seller on behalf of their father with black and red keys, a window sticker, a car cover, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Arizona title in the owner’s name.
Dodge released seven different Last Call special editions to celebrate the end of production of the Charger and Challenger. The Black Ghost special edition was number six of the seven, and all 300 examples left the factory finished in Pitch Black. Edition-specific features include a faux gator-skin roof graphic that mimics the original Black Ghost’s vinyl top as well as hood pins, a chrome fuel door, a Dodge front fascia badge, Challenger-script badging, and a trunk stripe. Additional equipment includes an aluminum hood with dual air scoops as well as HID Air-Catcher headlamps, widebody fenders, chin spoiler guards, a rearview camera, and dual exhaust outlets finished in Black Vapor chrome.
Satin Carbon-finished 20â?³ Warp-Speed wheels are mounted with Pirelli P Zero All Season tires. Braking is handled by black-finished six-piston front and four-piston rear Brembo calipers, and the competition suspension features adaptive damping.
The heated and ventilated front seats are upholstered in Black Laguna leather and Alcantara with embossed Hellcat logos on the front backrests, and carbon-fiber trim accents the instrument panel and center console. Further interior details include Black Ghost badging, a Harman Kardon high-performance sound system, driver-seat power adjustability, a folding rear seat, keyless entry, push-button start, and a Uconnect infotainment system with navigation.
The Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel is mounted to a tilting and telescoping column and frames a red 200-mph speedometer and 7k-rpm tachometer along with a configurable digital display. The digital odometer indicates 45 miles.
The supercharged high-output 6.2-liter Hemi V8 was originally factory rated at 797 horsepower and 707 lb-ft of torque, which was increased to 807 horsepower and 707 lb-ft of torque as part of the Jailbreak package that was included as part of the Black Ghost configuration and that added a high-performance engine controller. The engine is also equipped with an After-Run Chiller and an SRT Power Chiller, the latter of which utilizes the air conditioning refrigerant to cool the air entering the intake ports. A Last Call plaque is affixed under the hood near the driver-side headlight.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through an eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.
The window sticker notes initial delivery to Bill Luke Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Phoenix, Arizona, and lists factory equipment, colors, options, and a total price of $100,865. A car cover is also included.
